CPF LIFE calculator: your monthly payout

Pick your Retirement Account savings and the age payouts start. The answer is CPF's own estimate.

CPF's estimate of your monthly CPF LIFE payout on the Standard Plan, from age 65:

S$1,780

That is for Retirement Account savings of S$220,400 at 55, the Full Retirement Sum for members turning 55 in 2026. CPF gives S$1,780 a month from 65 and S$2,380 from 70, 33.7% more for waiting 5 years (CPF says payouts rise by up to 7% for each year you defer, and by up to 35% at 70). These are CPF's own estimates for a male member, and CPF may adjust them. CPF's table is for a male member on the Standard Plan and its page gives no separate table for women, so a woman's own figure comes from CPF's Retirement Payout Planner.

The money you need outside CPF until it starts

Counting S$21,360 a year from CPF LIFE from age 65, the pot you need outside CPF on the day you stop at 50 is S$842,305: CPF LIFE takes S$157,695 off the S$1,000,000 you would need without it.

The Standard Plan pays the same number of dollars for life, so at 2.5% a year of inflation (your assumption, not a forecast) it buys less each year. Money here is in the money of the day you stop, and the payout is counted at the level S$11,183 a year with the same value over the years it runs, not at S$21,360. Counted at its face value, the pot would be S$698,795, S$143,510 lower.

The three plans

CPF publishes monthly figures for the Standard Plan only. For the other two it publishes how they work, not an amount, so the page shows that and no made-up figure.

  • Standard. S$1,780 a month from 65, level for life: it does not rise with prices.
  • Escalating. Starts lower than the Standard Plan and rises 2% a year for life, so it overtakes it later. CPF publishes no starting amount by savings. Enter the first monthly payout CPF's Retirement Payout Planner gives you for this plan to see where 2% a year takes it.
  • Basic. About 10% to 20% of your Retirement Account is taken as the premium when payouts start (here about S$33,010 to S$66,020 of the S$330,100 that CPF projects the account will hold at 65); the rest pays your monthly payout until one month before age 90, and the payout falls when your CPF balances drop below S$60,000. CPF publishes no monthly amount for it.

Figures in Singapore dollars (S$), from the CPF Board's own estimates, read on 29 October 2026. They are CPF's estimates, not a promise, and CPF may adjust them. Your CPF LIFE monthly payout from CPF's own estimates, from 65 or 70, how the Standard, Basic and Escalating plans differ, and the money outside CPF that bridges to it.

What CPF publishes: the Standard Plan payout

CPF's table of the monthly Standard Plan payout for a male member turning 55 in 2026, by Retirement Account savings at 55 and the age payouts start (CPF dates the page 16 June 2026). Its Retirement Account at 65 column allows for CPF interest of up to 6% a year.

Payouts can start any time from 65 to 70. Not modeled: the bequest CPF LIFE leaves, top-ups to your Retirement Account after 65, and your home (the Lease Buyback Scheme). A member turning 55 after 2026 has different retirement sums, and CPF has not published a payout table for them; use CPF's Retirement Payout Planner. Questions people ask

How much will I get from CPF LIFE each month?
It depends on your Retirement Account savings and the age you start. CPF's own estimate for the Standard Plan, for a male member turning 55 in 2026 with the Full Retirement Sum (S$220,400) at 55, is S$1,780 a month from 65 and S$2,380 from 70. CPF publishes six such rows, from S$50,000 to S$440,800; for your own balance, use CPF's payout estimator.
What is the difference between the three CPF LIFE plans?
All three pay for life. The Standard Plan pays a level amount. The Escalating Plan starts lower and rises 2% a year. The Basic Plan takes about 10% to 20% of your Retirement Account as the premium, pays the rest until one month before age 90, and its payout falls when your CPF balances drop below S$60,000. CPF publishes monthly figures for the Standard Plan only, so this page shows no amount for the other two.
Should I start CPF LIFE at 65 or 70?
Starting later pays more each month: CPF says payouts rise by up to 7% for each year you defer, and by up to 35% at 70. On CPF's own estimates for the Full Retirement Sum, S$2,380 from 70 against S$1,780 from 65. The cost of waiting is the years of payouts you do not get, and the spending you must fund from other money until then, which is what the bridge calculation shows.
Why does the page not show a figure for 66, 67, 68 or 69?
CPF publishes the estimate for payouts from 65 and from 70 only. It says each year you defer adds up to a set percentage, not exactly that, so a figure in between would be one the site worked out, not one CPF published. For a start age in between, use CPF's payout estimator.
